The Inch Size
Depending on how often you move with your laptop, you might need a size that fits into your bag for ladies. A laptop from 12.5 to 14 inches of screen should be ok. But if you are poised to use heavy graphics in an office setting, you need something bigger than that. Also, consider the resolution of the 1920 X 1080 screen.
The Processor
You have heard that Indians say something like core this and core that. If you are spending over 1.2 million on the cost of your laptop, you need to aim at Core i5 CPU. The Core i3 is relatively cheaper, 1,000,000/= should be okay.
RAM
We recommend between 3GB to 8 GB ram. This should be okay for most users in Kampala and other areas.
Battery Life
With the power issues in Uganda especially during the rainy season, it’s important to consider the battery life of most of the laptops. Some second-hand laptops on sale in Uganda have less than 4 hours. Please consider the battery life of 8 hours or more. It is very important for you to check on that feature.
