About WhatsApp on Desktop
WhatsApp has two versions of the messaging apps, that is, WhatsApp Mobile and WhatsApp web. WhatsApp mobile is basically compatible with all mobile phones with the latest operating systems, whereas WhatsApp web is the version for desktop computers.
WhatsApp web is the only way you can use WhatsApp Mobile on Desktop computers as I have already introduced to you above. There are two ways to use WhatsApp web on your computer as listed below.

- Download the latest WhatsApp web version and install it on your computer.
- You can also use the web version through your browser.
How to use WhatsApp Mobile on Desktop
- On your computer, open web whatsapp.com using your favorite web browsers, such as Chrome Firefox, Opera, Safari, or Edge.
- Then go on and launch the WhatsApp application on your phone
- Open the Chats screen and select Menu and then WhatsApp Web
- A QR code will be displayed on the computer screen which you’ll need to scan using your mobile phone
- When you are done with the steps, WhatsApp will open in your computer browser
- Always remember to log out your WhatsApp account whenever you are done with chatting.
- To do this, click on the three-dot menu above the chats list on the left-hand side of the screen
- Click on Log out at the bottom of the list
iPhone
- Assuming you have already launched WhatsApp web on the computer screen. Scan this using your phone by proceeding with the steps below.
- Launch the WhatsApp app on your phone by tapping on it
- In the chat bubble, select Settings from the bottom menu
- Then select WhatsApp web
Blackberry
- Assuming you have already launched WhatsApp web on the computer screen. Scan this using your phone by proceeding with the steps below.
- Open the WhatsApp app on your phone by tapping on it
- Go to Chats, then Menu, then WhatsApp Web
- Scan the code using your phone
Windows Phone
- Go to whatsapp.com on your computer using your computer web browser
- Launch the WhatsApp app on your Windows phone by tapping on it
- Proceed to Menu, then WhatsApp Web
- Scan this using your phone
- WhatsApp will then open in your computer browser and you’ll be able to use it as to send messages as you would on your phone
