This tutorial will guide you on how to use Nordvpn on your Android TV.
Streaming services on your Android TV such as Netflix, Hulu, and BBC are restricted to regions limiting you from accessing certain content. However, there is a way to go about it just by using a VPN. A Virtual Private Network in shorts VPN is a service that enables the user to route their traffic via a server located elsewhere giving them a new IP address.
There are a variety of VPN apps that are compatible with Android TV but instead of trial and error with other VPN apps, you can consider using one of the top VPN services today, the NordVPN. The NordVPN will mask up your server and online presence routing it to a new IP address in a different region. The end destination will see the IP address of the new server instead of you.
1. Download NordVPN on your Android TV
Launch the Google Play Store app on your TV then search for NordVPN. Select “Install” and patiently wait for the app to download on your device.
2. Sign in
Upon successful download, click on “Open” to open the NordVPN app. Tap Sign up to create an account.
You can sign in using a QR code or using a digit code. Scan the QR code using your smartphone device and wait until your mobile device loads up the NordAccount page. There you will need to proceed with the signup process by entering your desired credentials. Or, search for nordaccount.com/remote on your phone, laptop, or PC browser then insert the digit code shown on your TV then enter your email address followed by a password.
After account creation, you will be prompted to select a plan that you prefer or you can use the 7 Days Free Trial plan.
