Google Tasks is an app and add-on that enables the user to create a to-do list and set reminders for a particular task in order to meet their deadlines or keep track of their activity. The Tasks reminders will be established into lists on the calendar tied to specific times and dates as listed during the task creation. This article will show you how to use Google tasks in Gmail.

There are a lot of to-do task apps out there but most of them may not come conveniently, you need to download several apps and keep being in and out of apps. That’s one difference with google tasks, you can use this app in your Gmail and add to-do tasks on your calendar.

On the Computer

1. Open the browser on your computer then go to gmail.com and log into your account.

2. Click on the Google Apps option next to your profile picture.

3. Scroll down and select the Calendar app.

4. The Calendar app will open in the new tab.

5. Tap on the Tasks icon (circle with a tick) on the sidebar.

6. Click on Add Task.

7. Enter the Title of the Task, Details (what you are supposed to accomplish), time and date then press OK.

8. Select the task to mark completion.

9. The task will be added to your calendar and you will get a reminder.

On the phone

1. Download and install the Google Calendar app on your device.

2. Allow the app to access your contacts and send you notifications.

3. If you are already logged in to your Gmail account you can select it or click add account and log in to a new account.

4. Click on the cross icon at the bottom of the page.

5. Select Tasks from the list of displayed options.

6. Then Add the Task title, Task details, date, and time (google off the All day feature to edit time).

7. Click Save. The task will be added to the calendar.
