MTN Share, or Share ‘N’ Sell as it was formerly known, is the name of MTN’s airtime sharing service. You can use it to share your airtime with friends and family. However, if you are a first-time user, you must change your default PIN before you begin using the service.
How to Change MTN Airtime Transfer Pin
To change your PIN, send the default PIN, 0000, followed by your new PIN, twice to 777. So, if your new PIN is 1111, you would text ‘0000 1111 1111’ to 777. You can also change it by dialing *777*default PIN*new PIN*new PIN#, for example, *777*0000*1111*1111#.
Using USSD Code/SMS For Airtime and Data Transfer on Mtn
To transfer airtime using USSD code, dial *777*recipient phone number*amount*PIN#. For example, *777*080XXXXXXX *1000*1111#.
If you want to use SMS, send the recipient phone number, amount, and PIN to 777, for example, 08012345678 1000 1111 to 777. After that, you’ll get a message asking you to confirm, simply text Yes to 777 to send the airtime.

To change the default or old PIN, dial *247*old or default PIN*new PIN#.
How to Transfer Airtime on 9mobile (Etisalat) Using USSD Code
To transfer airtime, dial *223*PIN*amount*phone number#. For example, if you want to send 1000 naira to 080XXXXXXX and your PIN is 1234, simply dial *223*1234*500*080XXXXXXX#.
Note: Each transfer incurs a 10 Naira fee, with a minimum transferable amount of 10 Naira and a maximum transferable amount of 200,000 Naira at once and up to 999,999 Naira per day.
To share data, dial *229*PIN*amount of data*phone number#. For the data transfer to be successful, you must have at least 50MB available after the transfer. Furthermore, you can only transfer a minimum of 10MB and a maximum of 200MB at a time. You can, however, transfer up to 1GB per day.
The data-sharing system on GLO is a little different, but transferring airtime is like what you have on the other network.
How to Change GLO Airtime Transfer Default PIN

- To REMOVE someone from sharing, dial *127*01*[friend’s number]# OR text “Remove [friend’s number]” to 127, for example. *127*01*080XXXXXXX # or send Remove 080XXXXXXX to 127.
- Dial *127*02# or text “List” to 127 to LIST PEOPLE who are sharing your subscription.
