a) Firstly, reset the network through settings

Restrictions could be preventing the computer from accessing the internet. To solve this:

  1. Go to settings.
  2. In settings, click on the “Network and Internet” option and then select “Status” from the left pane
  3. Click on the “Network Reset” option at the end of the list and select the “Reset Now” button.
  4. Check to see if the problem has been solved

b) Secondly, try performing an SFC scan

This scans your system files and restores any corrupted ones with the correct ones that are stored in your system.

To perform this scan:

  1. Press the Windows key and X at the same time
  2. Click on windows power shell (admin)
  3. Type SFC /scannow and press Enter
  4. Wait for it to finish and you will see the results

c) Thirdly, disable Automatic Proxy Settings Check

  1. Hold Windows key and press R at the same time
  2. Type inetcpl.cpl into the tab and press Enter
  3. Click Connections tab
  4. Click the LAN Settings button
  5. Deselect the option that says Use proxy servers for your LAN (these settings will not apply to dial-up or VPN connections) under the proxy server section
  6. Click ok and then click ok again.
  7. Check and see if it has solved the issue for you.

d) Do a system restore

In case the issue comes about due to a change in settings because of file corruption or infection then performing a System Restore could solve the issue.

Doing a System Restore is the best alternative mostly if the problem is new or started after downloading a certain software.

e) Lastly, try enabling the required services

  1. Hold down the windows button and X on the keyboard at the same time
  2. Click on Windows PowerShell (admin)
  3. Type the following commands one by one to enable the essential configuration services:-
  4. sc config Wlansvc start= demand
  5. sc config dot3svc start= demand
  6. sc config Dhcp start= auto
  7. Restart your computer and check to see whether the issue is solved
