Signing in to your Netflix account on your Android TV is straightforward but the option that enables you to sign out of your Netflix account on Android TV is hidden from eyesight. This might make you think that once you have signed in to your account on your TV, you can not sign out which is not true. For security reasons, you need to sign out your Netflix account every time you are not streaming. Here is how;
Method 1: Signout from Netflix App
Step 1: Open the Netflix app on your Android TV.
Step 2: From the Netflix Home screen, navigate left to open the Netflix menu and select Get Help.
Step 3: Scroll down and select Sign out.
Step 4: Click Yes to confirm.
Quick Note: If you don’t see Get Help, use the arrows on your remote to enter the following sequence:
Up, Up, Down, Down, Left, Right, Left, Right, Up, Up, Up, Up. Next, select Sign out.
Method 2: Clear Netflix Data
1. Press the Home button on your remote to launch the Android TV home screen.
2. Navigate to the Settings app.
3. Select All Apps.
4. Click on See All Apps.
5. Use the directional arrows to scroll until you see Netflix, then select it.
6. Click on “Clear Data.”
7. The app’s data will be deleted permanently including all files, accounts, and settings.

How to Sign in to your Netflix Account on your Android TV
Method: Use a Remote
- Open the Netflix app.
- Click on “Sign in.”
- Enter your email address and password.
Method 2: Use Phone
- On your Android TV, select and open the Netflix app then click on Sign in. Go to “Sign in From Web.”
- Start any scanner app on your device then scan the QR code with your phone’s camera to automatically open the device sign-in link on your phone browser. After scanning the code, tap on Go to Netflix.com.
- On your phone, enter the code displayed on your TV then tap “Continue.” You will be logged into your Netflix account on your TV instantly.
Method 3: Use a Computer
- On your Android TV, select and open the Netflix app then click on Sign in. Go to “Sign in From Web.”
- Launch the browser and go to netflix.com/….(Use the link that is displayed on your screen).
- Enter the code displayed on your TV then tap “Continue.” You will be logged into your Netflix account on your TV instantly.
