Sometimes sending a text via Telegram will not communicate the core details of a message but a video message will surely serve justice for whatever message you are trying to spread out. Ever since the feature was launched in 2017, the Telegram app has exceedingly stood out from the other social platform. The video message feature enables users to send video messages to their fans, friends, and family on the Telegram app.
The process of sending Video messages is so fast. This is because Telegram compresses the video during the recording process and before sending the video message to the recipient. This tutorial will guide you on how you can record and send video messages on Telegram.
Procedures to send Video Messages on Telegram
Step 1: Start the Telegram app on your phone. This feature will not be available on outdated versions, therefore ensure that you update your Telegram app.
Step 2: Launch any chat on Telegram (this could be the recipient’s chat or the person you intend to send the video message to).
Step 3: Tap the mic icon until it turns to the camera icon. If you are using this feature for the first time, you will be prompted to allow Telegram to access your camera and microphone.
Step 4: Now hold the camera icon to switch to the video mode and get started with recording a video message. While recording your video message, the timer on the left will be tracking how long your video is.
- Slide up to the padlock icon to lock the video so you can record hands-free.
- To switch between the back and front camera, tap on the cycle icon on the left.
- If the recorded video is not appealing, you can choose to delete it by tapping cancel or sliding to the left to cancel.
Step 5: Once you are done recording, click the send button or release the record button to dispatch your message. Within a blink of an eye, the message will be delivered to the recipient. If you think you made a mistake in sending the video, you can choose to delete the video for both yourself and the recipient by tapping the delete button at the top menu bar.
Note: By default, all Video messages are automatically downloaded and autoplayed once you open the chat. To disable video autoplay and download, go to Telegram Settings>Data and Storage>toggle off all options under automatic media download, and under Auto-play media, toggle off the option for videos.
