Restart your iPhone (All Models)

1. Launch the Settings app.

2. Tap General.

3. Scroll to and select Shut Down. Patiently wait for the phone to shut down. This may take 15 seconds.

4. Now press the power button until the Apple logo appears.

If you want to restart an iPhone X, iPhone 11, iPhone 12, or iPhone 13

1. Press and hold both the Power button and one of the Volume buttons until a slider labeled slide to power off appears.

2. Drag the slider to the right. The screen will go black in a few microseconds and that way you will be able to know that your iPhone is completely turned off.

3. In order to turn on your iPhone, press and hold the Power button until the Apple logo appears.

If you want to restart an iPhone SE(2nd Generation), iPhone 8, or earlier;

1. Press and hold the Power button until a slider labeled slide to power off appears. The Power button is on the right side of the iPhone.

2. Drag the slider to the right. The screen will go black in a few microseconds and that way you will be able to know that your iPhone is completely turned off.

3. In order to turn on your iPhone, press and hold the Power button until the Apple logo appears.

If you want to restart iPhone SE (1st Generation), 5, or earlier;

1. Press and hold the top button until the power-off slider appears.

2. Drag the slider to the right.

3. Next wait for 30 seconds for the device to turn off.

4. Press and hold the top button until you see the Apple logo.
