With your SafeBoda cashless wallet, you can now buy food at your local restaurant. Isn’t that nice?. This new option, however, works for restaurants that are signed up with SafeBoda and have Safeboda Cashless wallets.

Before you confuse this with the recently introduced SafeBoda food, you must know that they are completely different. Here is how.

SafeBoda food is a food delivery service (just like Jumia Food) where SafeBoda partners with restaurants and local vendors to deliver food to their customers.

In contrast, this new Pay with SafeBoda Cashless option is a special service where restaurants sign up to have SafeBoda cashless wallets.
This paves way for customers with SafeBoda cashless to deposit money in case they want to buy a meal. (just like credit cards for banks, this time you use an app)

If you enter a restaurant and see a poster like this one below, be sure that you can Pay with SafeBoda cashless. I found this at a local restaurant in Kikoni.

When you press next, you will be shown the initials of the beneficiary. Ensure to confirm with the restaurant if those are the names they use for their cashless wallet.

After that, you will be prompted to insert your Cashless Pin. If it’s your first time, the first pin you input becomes the default pin.

Send the money by pressing the SEND button, and boom, you have successfully used the Pay with SafeBoda cashless option to grab yourself a meal.

This is SafeBoda’s way of telling us that Cashless is the in thing. I actually have landed on this Pay With SafeBoda Cashless option at even bigger known restaurants. This is a sign that even high-end restaurants in Kampala and other districts are jumping onto the wagon, so it’s not only for the local restaurants. Here is the one I found at Karveli.
