How to pay Makerere University fees using airtel money:
Note: This method applies to both MUK and MUBS students.
Method 1:
- Dial *272*6#
If you don’t have a reference number
- Select Get Reference Number
- Provide your student number and follow procedures to generate a reference number.
- After generating the payment reference number or if you already have a reference number.
- Dial again *272*6# and select Mobile Payment Option
- Enter your reference number
- The system will show your student name and the amount owed. Enter 1 to continue to pay via mobile money.
- The mobile money prompt for the pin will pop up. Enter your pin to complete the transaction.
PS: Shortcode *272*6# won’t work if you don’t have enough airtime.
Method 2:
Dial *185# or *165#, then select:
Option 4: Pay Bill
Option 7: URA
Option 1: Pay Registered
Enter the PRN/PTN number you wish to pay for and follow the prompts.
How to pay Makerere University fees via MTN Mobile money:
Method 1:
- Dial *272*6#
If you don’t have a reference number
- Select Get Reference Number
- Provide your student number and follow procedures to generate a reference number.
- After generating the payment reference number or you already have a reference number
- Dial again *272*6# and select Mobile Payment Option
- Enter your reference number
- The system will show your student name and the amount owed. Tap continue to pay via mobile money.
- The mobile money prompt for the pin will pop up. Enter your pin to complete the transaction.
