Method 1:

1. Launch the home screen.

2. Touch and hold an app that you wish to delete/uninstall from the Home Screen until the apps start to jiggle: 

3. Click on the Remove icon or the Cancel icon in the upper-left corner of the app.

4. From the popup menu, click on “Delete.”

5. The app was deleted.

Method 2:

1. Long-press and hold an app icon from the App library or home screen that you wish to uninstall until the quick actions menu appears.

2. Tap Remove app.

3. Next, click on Delete App from the menu that appears.

4. Confirm the deletion in the pop-up by tapping Delete.

How to Delete/Remove Apps from Home Screen on your iPhone

For devices running on iOS 14 and above, you can choose to remove apps from your Home Screen, so that they appear only in your App Library. This is not similar to deleting an app. Here is how;

1. Launch the home screen.

2. Touch and hold an app that you wish to remove from the Home Screen until the Quick actions menu appears. 

3. Click on the Remove App from the pop-up menu.

4. Now, tap on “Remove App” from the home screen.

5. The app will disappear from the home screen.

Quick Notes:

Some built-in Apple apps can’t be deleted/uninstalled from your device. Therefore the “Delete App” option in such occasions will be unavailable.
