Do this first before you Create Mobile Hotspot
Before you create Mobile Hotspot, you must be sure that your computer is connected to the internet. There are many ways to get connected to the internet when you are using your computer and below are some of the options you may use.

Using a Modem
A modem can be used to connect a computer to the internet. We have both locked and unlocked modems and their prices vary. Below is a step by step guide on how to use a Modem for internet on your computer
- Insert a SIM card loaded with data into your Modem
- Connect your Modem to the USB ports in your computer.
- Wait for it to load so that its software is detected.
- Click on setup a connection or network
- Type in your dial-up number in the box displayed
- Click connect and launch your web browser to surf the internet.
Using a Virtual Router
For the router, you just need an Ethernet cable connected to a switch which is connected to your router. Connect the Ethernet cable to your computer and start surfing the internet. It’s that easy. LOL!!!
How to Create Mobile Hotspot
Now that you are sure your computer is connected to the internet, its high time you created hotspot for your other gadgets so they can share a portion of this internet.
- Navigate to setting on your computer
- Click on Network and Internet
- Proceed to Hotspot
- Go to share my internet and select WI-FI or Ethernet
- Click the Edit button to setup the Name and password of your Hotpot.
- Save these changes and exit. Whoever has this password shall be able to log in and use this connection.
Apart from Mobile Hotspot, there are many other ways through which you can share your computer’s internet with other gadgets at home or at your workplace. Below are other added ways you can do this if you are not willing to settle with the Mobile Hotspot method.
Using Windows internet connection sharing feature
- Open the control panel on your Windows computer
- Navigate to Network and Internet
- Proceed to Network and sharing center
- You will need to change the adapter settings so that you can configure your settings; this action is on the left pane in this section.
- Right click on your internet connect and go to properties
- Switch on the sharing tab that pops up, and check the box to allow other users to connect to the internet through your computer. Check the second option also to give those will connect to your network the right to control over this shared network.
- Now, click Ok to save these changes.
- After that, go back to the heading; change your networking settings on the network and sharing center to setup a new network.
- Choose the Manually connect to a Wireless network option and click Next
- Compete the setup as per the instructions that will be displayed
