NSSF has digitized most of its services to ease and make their service delivery extra efficient in Uganda. NSSF members who qualify for withdrawal of their savings can now use their mobile phones to claim for their NSSF Benefits online in Uganda. To claim or track the status of your NSSF benefits claims, you need to get registered for the NSSFGO Mobile app (Android & iPhone) or via their Web Application.

Procedures to Claim your NSSF Benefits Online in Uganda

  1. Download the NSSFGO Mobile or Web Application on your preferred device.
  2. Scroll to the benefits section and toggle “Benefits Application.”
  3. Fill in your application details that include the benefit type, preferred payment option, bank, employment, address, and supporting documents to submit your application.

How to track your NSSF Benefits Claim Status

If you’re a smartphone user, you can track your NSSF Benefits Claim Status by downloading the NSSFGO Mobile App here or login into the web platform, scroll to the “Benefits Application” section. You can also track your NSSF Benefits Claim Status by simply dialing *254# NSSF shortcode.

PS: The eligibility criteria for the beneficiaries goes as below:-

  • Age Benefit; paid on the attainment of retirement age of 55 years.
  • Withdrawal Benefit; paid to a member who attains the age of 50 years if he or she has not been employed under a contract of service for a period of one year immediately preceding his or her claim.
  • Exempted Employment; paid to a contributing member who joins employment categories that are exempted
  • Emigration Grant; paid to a contributing member who has been working in Uganda and is leaving the country permanently. It is paid to both Ugandans and non-Ugandans.
  • Invalidity Benefit; paid to a contributing member who has lost his/ her earning capacity due to physical or mental incapacitation as will be certified by a medical doctor.
