It’s not uncommon for us to find ourselves in situations where we can’t recall our phone number. The invention of multiple sim mobile phones has enabled us to have multiple sim on the same phone. Getting to know each of these numbers offhand takes time, and some people simply do not want to go through the stress of remembering them, so they resort to other means to retrieve the numbers whenever they want. Others may be as a result of a change in mobile number, all of which necessitates the need to easily check and access phone numbers without having to worry about remembering them.

Other Ways to Check Your Phone Number in Nigeria Using Your Network Provider’s Mobile Application

If you have a smartphone, another viable option for utilizing a USSD code to acquire a phone number is to use a network provider’s mobile application. The mobile application gives you access to information other than your phone numbers, such as the name registered on your sim, your available airtime and data balance, and the ability to link your sim to your NIN. The app is called “MY MTN” for the MTN line, “GLO CAFE” for the GLO line, “MY AIRTEL” for the Airtel line, and “ig9ite” for the 9mobile line.

  1. To get the app, go to the Google Play Store or the Apple App Store and download the mobile application.
  2. Once the app has been downloaded, enter the required information to sign up and begin using it.

The disadvantage of using the mobile app is that you must have data to access it, and downloading and signing up appears to be more difficult than using the USSD codes, but the app’s robust functionality makes it a better choice.

Conclusion

With the steps outlined above, it is unlikely that you will still find it difficult to get your phone number whenever you want.
