Candidates seeking admission to Nigeria’s different universities, polytechnics, colleges, and other tertiary institutions must first pass the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME). You may check UTME Direct Entry results and print jamb result slip by typing in your Jamb Registration Number or email address. To view their results, candidates must go to the JAMB website. How to Check JAMB Results Online

To check your JAMB UTME result online without a scratch card, simply follow the easy procedures below.

1. Go to https://portal.jamb.gov.ng/eFacility/CheckUTMEResults to verify your results from the Joint Admission and Matriculations Board (JAMB).
2. Fill in the required form with your Registration Number/Phone Number.
3. To obtain your UTME results notice, click on the ‘Check My Results’ button.

If your result is ready, the portal will return your JAMB Notification of Result. After that, you may proceed to print the result.

How to Check JAMB Results Via SMS

Candidates can now submit UTMERESULT to 55019 or 66019 through SMS using the same phone number they used to register (you must have a credit balance of at least N50 on your line). Shortly after, you’ll receive an SMS with the results.

The following are the expected responses:

• A candidate who used the phone number for registration and followed the above guide will receive the message: “Dear Mr/Miss X, your result is as follows: (and the four subjects you choose with your performance will be provided).”

• If a candidate enters a phone number that was not used to register, he will receive a notification saying, “This phone number was not used for registration.”

• If a result is withheld, the applicant will receive a “Result Withheld” notification.

• Let’s say a candidate falls under the “benefit of the doubt” category. “Result withheld awaiting the submission of clarifications/documents necessary from you,” the message to the person will say in such situation.

• If a candidate was absent, the response will be “CANDIDATE ABSENT.”
• Candidates who took the exam but were not validated by biometrics will receive the response “ABSENT WITH REGISTRATION NUMBER and CANCELLED.”

• When attempting to check JAMB results by SMS, a candidate who obtains unlawful entrance to the examination venue will receive an “Invalid Entrance into the Exam Hall” message.
