How to Check Data Balance on MTN

METHOD 1: Using USSD Codes

  1. Open the phone app.
  2. Dial *131#, then OK.
  3. Your data balance will show on your screen.

METHOD 2: Using the MyMTN App

MyMTN App is a self-service app for MTN subscribers. The app gives customers full control of their MTN phone accounts through mobile money services, airtime and data tops ups, bill payments, borrowing airtime, locating service center shops, and interacting with customer service agents. The app is available for free on the App Store for IOS, Google Play Store for Android, and BlackBerry World.

  2. Open MyMTN App.
  3. Log in or register if you are a first-time user.
  4. Click on Home.
  5. Choose my balances.
  6. Your data balance will show on your screen.

How to Check Data Balance on Lycamobile

Lycamobile is one of the new telecom companies in Uganda. The company has several amazing cheap data bundles. If you are a Lycamobile customer, you need to follow the following steps to check your data balance.

  1. Launch the phone app on your mobile phone.
  2. Dial *131#, then OK.
  3. Your data balance will show on your screen.

  1. Open your phone app.
  2. Dial *133*9#, then OK.
  3. Your data balance will show on your phone screen.

If you don’t want to fidget with the shortcodes available for checking your data balance, the Africell subscriber can call the toll-free Africell helpline by dialing 100 to inquire about their data balance. The Africell subscriber can also visit the Africell website top-up page to check the data balance.
