Did you know that you can check and view your Netflix watching history? Netflix keeps a detailed list of whatever you watch on the streaming platform showing both the show/movie titles and the exact dates you watched that particular content. The viewing history is aligned for each Netflix profile under a particular Netflix account. If your profile is 5 years old, rest assured you will be able to view viewing activity right from the first time you started using your profile to watch shows/movies. After checking your Netflix watching history, you can make the decision to download the viewing activity or to delete the viewing activity.
How to Check and Download Netflix Watching History
1. Go to netflix.com and log in to your Netflix account.
2. Tap on your profile to launch the home page.
3. Click on the dropdown menu next to the Profile icon in the upper right corner then select Accounts.
4. Under Profile & Parental Controls, tap on the profile whose viewing activity you would like to check.
5. Next, tap Viewing activity.
6. The viewing Activity for that Netflix profile will pop up on the screen showing date and titles. If you want to view more results tap on “Show More.”
7. To download your viewing activity, tap on “download all.” Preparation of the activity file will commence, and as soon as its complete, the file will download automatically. If the download did not start automatically, tap on the “Download Viewing” button displayed on the notification window.
How to Delete Netflix Watching History
1. Go to netflix.com and log in to your Netflix account.
2. Tap on your profile to launch the home page.
2. Click on the dropdown menu next to the Profile icon in the upper right corner then select Accounts.
3. Under Profile & Parental Controls, tap on the profile whose viewing activity you would like to delete.
4. Next, tap on the Viewing Activity.
5. The viewing Activity for that Netflix profile will pop up on the screen showing both dates and titles. If you want to view more results tap on “Show More.”
6. To delete viewing activity, tap on “Hide all” then go ahead and select “Yes, hide all my viewing activity.”
Quick Note: Hiding viewing activity equals permanent deletion within 24 hours. After then, the hidden titles will no longer be used to make recommendations and will not show under Netflix watch history unless you play the title again.
