What Happens After you Have Changed Subscription Plan on Netflix

A subscription plan upgrade takes effect immediately so you can enjoy all of the added features. For instance, if you upgrade from a mobile plan to a basic plan or basic plan to a standard plan or from a Standard plan to a premium plan. Considering that Netflix is a prepaid service, your billing date will change based on the remaining balance of your last payment. However, you can choose to change back to your previous billing date.

Unfortunately, if you downgrade from your previous high-priced subscription plan to a subscription plan with a lower price, the plan will take effect on your next billing date. This means that you can continue to use the features of the higher plan until your next billing date.

Subscribers can upgrade their subscription plan anytime. For instance, you can upgrade from Basic to Standard, and then upgrade from Standard to Premium in the same month. However, if you downgrade your plan, your downgrade will only take effect on your next billing date.

If you are downgrading your subscription plan because your wallet is on the low, you can choose to cancel Netflix at any time and restart the subscription when your finances are in check.
