As an M-PESA customer, sometimes you need to track your transactions to make right financial decisions by recording what amount you use and on what services or goods. Luckily, you can do that by subscribing to an M-PESA statement. The M-Pesa statement refers to a report containing one’s M-Pesa transactions for a particular period of time that comprises of Money withdrawn and Money deposited.

You can get this service through Safaricom network via USSD codes *234# and *334#. It comes in a variety of mini or full statement sets at 3 months, 6 months, and 12 months periods. Upon request, the M-Pesa statement is configured to be sent out to the email address that you provided when you subscribed to the service.

As an M-PESA statement subscriber, however, you have the right and ability to change the M-Pesa statement email to whichever you prefer at any time in the future. To do this, there are two options on how to do this:

  • Dial *234#
  • Select option 5: M-PESA Information
  • Then Select option 1: M-PESA Statement
  • Select option 3: Change M-PESA Statement Email
  • Enter the new email address
  • Confirm the new email address
  • Enter your national Identification card(ID)
  • A confirmation text stating that your email address has been successfully updated will be sent to you.

Via USSD *334#

  • Dial *334#
  • Select option 7: My Account
  • Select option 6: M-PESA Statement
  • Select option 3: Change M-PESA Statement Email
  • Enter the new email address
  • Confirm the new email address
  • Enter your national ID
  • A confirmation text showing that your email address has been successfully updated will be sent.

With the mySafaricom App

  • Download, install and launch the mySafaricom app available on both Google Play Store and Apple Store
  • Click on the M-PESA tab
  • Tap on the M-PESA Statement tab at the bottom
  • Tap on Change Email
  • Enter and Confirm your new email
  • Enter your national ID
  • A confirmation prompt stating that your email has been successfully changed will be sent to you.
