Kenya Power has introduced a service, under the *977# USSD code that will enable its prepaid and postpaid customers to manage their bills. By dialing *977# and *885#, customers are able to buy KPLC tokens.

2. 2. Select Prepaid Service (Token)
3. 3. Select Option 1: Buy Token
4. 4. Input your meter number
5. 5. Enter Amount
6. 6. Click Send
7. 7. A pop-up message will appear asking you to enter your Mpesa PIN to finalize your transaction
8. 8. You will receive an SMS confirmation with a token which you will load onto your meter

But KPLC Tokens via USSD *885#

1. 1. Dial *885# on your phone
2. 2. Select Prepaid Service (Token)
3. 3. Select Option 1: Buy Token
4. 4. Input your meter number
5. 5. Enter Amount
6. 6. Click Send
7. 7. A pop-up message will appear asking you to enter your Mpesa PIN to finalize your transaction
8. 8. You will receive an SMS confirmation with a token which you will load onto your meter

2. KPLC Paybill Number

Kenya Power also has a pay bill number that one can use to buy Tokens through. Here you use the KPLC paybill number 888880.

For Safaricom Users

1. Go to your MPesa Menu on your phone
2. Select Lipa Na Mpesa
3. Select Paybill
4. Enters the KPLC paybill Number: 888880
5. Enter the Account Number which is the Meter Number
6. Enter Amount
7. Enter MPesa PIN
8. Confirm everything from the displayed message is correct, once correct press ok.
9. You soon receive a confirmation SMS from MPESA followed by the Token SMS from the KPLC tokens system.

For Airtel Money Users

1. Go to your Airtel money Menu on your phone
2. Select Make payments
3. Choose Paybill
4. Select KPLC prepaid
5. Enter the Amount
6. Enter your Airtel money PIN
7. You will be prompted for a reference number, this is your KPLC Meter number, then ok.
8. A confirmation SMS will be thereafter sent to you with the KPLC Token

For Telkom T-Kash Users

1. Go to your T-Kash Menu on your phone
2. Select Paybill
3. Enters Biller Number which is the KPLC paybill Number: 888880
4. Enter the Account Number which is the Meter Number
5. Enter Amount
6. Enter T-Kash PIN
7. Confirm everything from the displayed message is correct, once correct press ok.
8. You soon receive a confirmation SMS from T-Kash followed by the Token SMS from the KPLC tokens system.

3. Jazapay

Jazapay is an easy and convenient way to manage your utility bills, from checking and paying electric bills all from the comfort of your home. In order to make KPLC token purchases via Jazapay, you need to follow the steps below.

1. Dial *415# from a Safaricom network handset
2. Select Option 2: KPLC
3. Select Option 1: Buy KPLC Prepaid Tokens
4. Enter your prepaid meter number
5. Enter Amount
6. If confirmation details are correct, select Option 1: Yes
7. An STK Mpesa popup menu prompt will require you to input your Mpesa PIN to finalize the transaction
8. You will receive an SMS confirmation with a token which you will load to your meter

4. Tingg

Tingg is a payment platform that requires the availability of funds in one’s preferred wallet account in-order to effect a transaction. In order to purchase KPLC Tokens, you need to follow the below procedures
