DStv subscribers can create up to 5 channel groups within their DSTV decoder. A channel group is a list of channels under a particular title like favorites. This means that all channels under the favorite channel group are your favorite channels. Therefore you can access the channels by pressing the options button, scrolling down to the channel group, and selecting Favourites. No more hectic searches for a particular channel. Here is how you can add a channel to favorites and remove a channel from favorites on DSTV.
How to Add a Channel to Favorites on DSTV
1. Switch on your DSTV decoder and make sure it is connected to the TV set.
2. Navigate to the settings menu.
3. Then select the “User Preference” option.
3. Select “Channel groups“.
4. Opt to “Use Channel Groups” then press “YES“.
5. Select a color for the channel group then press the OK button on the remote.
6. Then name the channel group as “Favorites“.
7. Scroll down and select channels and add them to your favorite list.
8. Save the changes.
9. To access your channel list press the options button, scroll down to channel group, and select Favourites.
How to Remove a channel from favorites on DStv
1. Navigate to the settings menu.
2. Then select the “User Preference” option.
3. Select “Channel groups“.
4. Opt to “Use Channel Groups” then press “YES“.
5. Under the channel group select “Favorites“.
6. Scroll down and unselect channels that you want to remove from your favorite group list.
