Snapchat has added new features that make the app more fun to use. Now you can add a link to the Snapchat story. The swipe-up link on Snapchat helps users attach important useful links to Snapchat stories. This is how you can add a link to a Snapchat story.

Add Link to Snapchat Story

  • Launch the Snapchat app on your phone.
  • Take a picture or video using the Snapchat camera. Then click the paperclip icon on the right side of the screen.
  • OR
  • You can choose any picture or video from the Snaps or Camera roll. Click on the three dots at the upper right corner of the screen, tap Edit and finally click on the paperclip icon on your right.
  • The link attachment page will open showing the URL search bar and previously copied links. Select the link you want or type in to search or copy and paste the link URL from its home address.
  • A new page will appear showing URL details and information. If they match your desires then tap the blue button with “Attach to Snap” at the bottom of the page.
  • After attaching the URL, you will return back to the Snap chat Camera screen showing your picture or video. However, the paperclip will now be circled in white. This clarifies that the link has been attached.
  • Make more edits if you wish then click the blue arrow icon (Send To) to proceed with posting your photo or video.
  • Then choose how you want to send your post for instance using Snapchat stories or to particular individuals. After that go ahead and click on the blue arrow icon on the right bottom corner of your screen.

NOTE: This Swipe-up link feature on Snapchat limits users from viewing the webpage within the app. However, transfers users to a particular URL.
