On the Android TV home page, there is a section on the favorite apps. The favorite apps could be mostly frequented apps. If you are thinking of customizing your home screen menu, then you should add apps to your favorite list so that every time you want to open the app, you just launch the home screen and find the app there rather than checking from the device’s settings. At any one point, if you ever feel the need, you can remove a particular app from your favorite list.
How to Add Apps to Favorites List on Android TV
Method 1:
1. Switch on your Android TV by pressing the power button on your remote. If your Android TV is already powered on, proceed to the next step.
2. For the home menu to load, press the home button on your remote.
3. On the home menu, locate the row titles “Favourite Apps.”
4. To add an app to the Favorite app row, navigate to the far right on the favorite row and select “Add App to Favorites.”
5. Scroll the list of installed apps then select the app that you want to add to the row and it will be added.
Method 2:
1. On the home page, Long press the Apps feature for the list of installed apps to appear.
2. Navigate to the app that you want to add to your favorite list.
3. Select the app and long-press the “OK” button.
4. A pop-up menu will be displayed, scroll down and select “Add to Favorites.”
5. The app will be added to the favorite list on the home menu.
How to Remove Apps from Favorites on Android TV
Method 1:
1. Go to the home menu of your Android TV.
2. On the Favorites Apps row, navigate to and select the app you want to remove.
3. Long press the “OK” button on your remote.
4. From the popup menu, select “Remove from Favorites” and press OK.
Method 2:

2. Navigate through to the app that you want to remove from your favorite app list.
3. Select the app and long-press the “OK” button.
