If you frequent a particular website on your web browser and you want to skip the extra process of accessing it like checking your bookmarks or browser history, then add the website to your home screen on your Android phone. This process will create a shortcut for the particular website so that every time you want to access it you just go on your home screen and click on the shortcut icon.
This method is a cover-up for those who want to use particular web services but do not want to download the app. For instance, I do not want to download the Twitter app on my android phone so I use the web version. However, since I frequent the website, I decided to add it to my Android phone’s home screen. Here is how you can achieve that;

Add a Website Shortcut to your Android Home Screen.
1. Go to the app collection on your device by swiping up on the home screen. After the app drawer has launched, scroll down then select and open “Chrome” from the list of apps.
2. Tap into the search box and enter the website that you want to search for. A list of search results will appear on your screen, tap the search result from the website that you prefer.
3. Next, tap on the More Options icon (three parallel dots) in the upper right corner of the website for a menu to pop up.
4. On the new pop-up menu, scroll down and select “Add to Home screen.”
5. The “Add to Home Screen” edit page will appear. You can rename the website name or edit the existing name or leave the website with the default name.
6. Tap on “Add” to add the website to your home screen. The website will be added instantly. Now go to your home page and search for it.
How to Remove a Website from your Android Home Screen.
1. Unlock your Android phone and launch the home screen.
2. Scroll through the list of apps on your Android home screen and spot the icon of the website that you want to delete.
3. Long press and hold on to the website until the “Remove” option appears.
4. Click on “Remove” to delete the website from your home screen.
