1. Azam TV Uganda
Azam TV is part of part of Bakhresa group, investing furtively in both local and international content. Recently, Azam introduced a new channel in February, Channel U, which exclusively broadcast only local entertainment and was offered to all Azam subscription packages.
Azam offers three subscription packages as listed below and their prices

2. Dstv Uganda
Dstv is Multichoice’s brand among others such as Gotv. Multichoice has managed to distribute its brand across Africa more than any other company providing TV subscriptions to the public. However, when Uganda switched from Analog to Digital, we were able to see more companies in the same niche surface as the need for broadcasting digitally grew vast and beyond the sources by that time.

3. Startimes Uganda
Startimes Uganda is the closest to rival Multichoice in the digital world of providing TV services to the public. It’s a Chinese media company that isn’t only available for Uganda’s content but also for many other countries across Africa. Startimes provides a satellite service called Startsat available for china and India but payable in Uganda.
Decoder prices
The satellite version goes for UGX 155,000 but recently Startimes introduced a decoder of up to UGX 8,000 only.
You can enjoy Startimes remotely via their app for iPhone users or Android.

Gotv Uganda is another Multichoice brand after Dstv in Uganda. The main aim of Gotv project was to cater for those with the desire of a digital classic broadcast over their TV sets and cannot afford Dstv’s giant prices.
Today, Gotv is one of the mostly preferred TV subscription service in Uganda, and its low prices have been a standing factor to its growth, not forgetting the fact that Uganda switched to digital broadcasting.

Zuku TV is the leading satellite cable television service in East Africa from Wananchi Group. The company offers Direct to Home (DTH) pay-TV services to customers in Uganda. The TV offers High Definition channels, HD decoders, and mobile streaming services on their Zuku App.

6. Kampala siti cable
Kampala siti cable is a new Television service in Kampala, capable of delivering over 30 television channels to their customers’ payable monthly. It is said to be cheaper than other TV subscription and also reliable. However, I hear it’s illegal. They use Orange colored cables to deliver their services to their customers.
To get this service, you only need to pay up to UGX 45,000 and get connected to their service of about 51 channels.
