Instagram enables its users to locate anyone on social media by phone numbers. And since social media is all about socializing, connections, and meeting new people, you need to make friends on the app. The only way to simply achieve this is by using contacts to discover people instead of searching different names that might not bring any fruitful feed. Ensure that the individual’s contact number is saved on your phone.
Open Instagram and log in with your account.
Click on the profile icon.
Then tap on the three parallel lines icon in the right top corner.
Click on “Discover People”.
Select “Contacts” under Discover People.
Allow Connect Contacts from the page.
Instagram will immediately start syncing phone numbers to your account.
All profiles that are registered with a number saved in your contact list will be displayed.
Select a profile that you want to follow or view.
If no phone number is associated, it will show no contacts available.
Note: If you are trying to use this feature for the first time, a dialogue box will appear asking you to ‘Allow Instagram to access your contacts?’ Here you need to tap on the ‘Allow’ option to access your contacts. This will allow the app to identify the people who are already listed in your app.
