DStv Announces Changes In Response to the COVID 19 Outbreak

With the rapidly spreading and the outbreak of the novel coronavirus pandemic across the globe. DSTV Uganda has made changes in its TV program plans to make it easy for people to access COVID 19 information from some reputable and most published TV brands that have been reporting on the virus.

This comes at the time were people day in day out are relying on social media news and TV to follow any latest updates on the spread of the virus. Following that, DSTV is trying to bridge the information gap by making some TV stations free to access which has not been the case before.

The announcement is as follows

1. CNN & Euronews now open to all (for more news)

2. Da Vinci & Cartoon Network now open to all

3. SS7 open too

4. Live sports will be replaced by sports documentaries & curated content from past events.

DSTV Uganda tweeted – ” We want you to stay in the know and we are making more news channels available to all DStv Customers which include CNN (channel 415), Euronews (channel 414), and Africa News (channel 417).”

They also tweeted – “For the Kids, we are making revision accessible for lessons from our educational channel Mindset (DStv Channel 319) available on catch up. Da Vinci and Cartoon Network are now available on all DStv packages to keep the little ones entertained.”
