Telegram’s 8.4 updates presented a feature that enables users to create and share online QR codes for their profiles. There are a variety of ways for people to find you on the Telegram app. People can either find you on Telegram using your phone number or username. Previously, you would share your username or phone number with people who would wish to check out your profile. However, in circumstances where they messed up a single detail about your username or phone number, they would fail to find you on the messaging app. Telegram’s QR code for profiles has made it easier for users to invite people to check out their profiles. Here is how you can create and share a QR code for your Telegram profile.

Step 1: Launch the Telegram app on your device.

Step 2: Navigate to the Setting section by tapping the Settings button at the bottom right corner.

Step 3: On the next page, you should be able to see the QR Code icon in the top right corner. If the option is not visible, that means you do not have a public user name. Unfortunately, getting your code requires that you have to set a public username. To set your public user name on Telegram;

  • Open the Telegram app and tap on Settings at the bottom right corner.
  • Tap on “Set Username.”
  • Key in your preferred username and tap the “Done” button in the top right corner.
