a) Firstly, using a VISA card
A visa card is a payment card that uses the Visa network. Many financial institutions (banks) in Uganda have partnered with Visa to use the company’s network.
These cards come with a 16-digit account number, microchip, and magnetic stripe.
To use a visa card to make online transactions, visit the website where you want to carry out that transaction and follow the prompts. Input your 3-digit cvv2 code and carry out the transaction.
b) Secondly, using MTNs virtual card
MTNs virtual card is created using your MTN Mobile Money details. The 16-digit virtual card number is identical to the ones you have seen on the front of your ordinary visa card and the CVV (security code) is sent to your phone.
These details are used to carry out online transactions on millions of MasterCard-supported E-Commerce sites.
c) Thirdly, using Airtel’s Virtual Card
Airtel’s virtual card, which is valid for a year allows its Airtel Money customers in Africa, specifically those without a bank account, to make payments to local and global online merchants.
Merchants for instance Google Play, Uber, Amazon, Aliexpress, Netflix, and Alibaba, accept Mastercard cards while maintaining that the customer’s financial data is always secure and private.
Airtel’s virtual card can be used the same way an MTN virtual card is used. Just go to a site where you want to carry out the transaction and follow the steps provided to get it done.
d) Fourthly, using MTN Mobile money
There are websites online that support payments using MTN Mobile Money. Such sites provide an easy way for transactions to get carried out. For instance, you might tap a button on the site. And the payment is initiated and all you have to do next is input your MTN Mobile Money PIN.
e) Lastly, using Airtel Money
Just like MTN, there are websites online that support payments using Airtel Money. Such sites provide an easy way for transactions to get carried out. For instance, you might tap a button on the site. And the payment is initiated and all you have to do next is input your Airtel Money PIN.
