    The current era of digitalization and mobile banking has made it possible for individuals to know their account balances without visiting the bank or the ATM machine. GTBank initiates push notifications via SMS that entails the account balance every time a customer makes a transaction (deposit or withdraw). However, if you want to know your balance on demand, you have to register for GTBank mobile banking services. This article will guide you on how to check the GTBank account balance online.

    How to Check Your GTBank Account Balance Online in Uganda

    To know your GTBank account balance you will need to use the GTBank UG mobile app or the GTBank mobile banking USSD shortcode (*237#). Whichever medium you choose to use, you need to ensure that your account is registered for GTBank mobile banking services and if you plan on using the USSD short code, please use the registered phone number.

    Use Mobile App

    For this method, the customer must have downloaded the app on their device. If the customer has not downloaded the app yet, they can download and install the GTBank mobile app on their device from Google Play Store for Androids and App Store for IOS users. Follow the steps below to check your account balance.

    1. Open the GTBank Uganda mobile app.

    2. Login with your User ID and pin.

    3. Select Balance Inquiry.

    4. Choose an account.

    5. The balance will show on the screen.

    Use USSD Short Code

    Alternatively, you can use the USSD shortcode if you have a feature phone. Ensure to use the Mobile banking registered phone number then follow the prompts below to check account balance;

    1. Dial *237# and press OKay.

    2. Enter Mobile-PIN.

    3. Select a number that corresponds to the Balance Inquiry option.

    4. Choose an account.

    5. The account balance will display on the screen.
