  • Dial *544# and the hit OK / Call button.
  • Opt for Check balance from the displayed menu.
  • Your data balance will show on the screen.

Method 2:

  • Open phone app.
  • Dial *100# then OK.
  • Choose My Account option.
  • Opt for Check my usage and Balance option.
  • Then select Balance.
  • A notification entailing your data balance will appear on the screen.

Check Data Balance via SMS

This method is favorable for Easy Data Bundle balances like the BIGBox or the Safaricom Digital TV and Internet Box. However, it can work for prepaid users as well.

  • Open messaging app on your phone.
  • Tap in the create New Message box.
  • Type Bal and enter recipient as 144.
  • You will receive a message entailing data bundle balance.

Here is how you can check Safaricom data balance using my Safaricom app.

  • Download and install My Safaricom app.
  • Click on My account option.
  • Select the Data item option.
  • Your data balance will display and all active bundle subscriptions.
