Check Balance For Pre-pay Customers

  1. Launch the phone app.
  2. Dial *144# and press the call/send button.
  3. Safaricom will immediately show you your airtime balance

Method 2:

  1. Open the dialer.
  2. Dial *456# and press ok using Safaricom line.
  3. Select option 4, Balance / Top up.
  4. Choose option 2, Account Balance.
  5. Your airtime balance will be sent via SMS.

Method 3:

  • Launch the dialer.
  • Dial *100# and press the call button.
  • Select option 2, My Account.
  • Then select Check My Usage and Balance option.
  • Choose option 1, Balance.

Check Balance Via SMS

  1. Open Message app.
  2. Create a New Message (leave it blank).
  3. Next, enter recipient as 144 and click on send.
  4. Safaricom will send you details of your airtime balance.

Check Safaricom Airtime Balance For Postpay Customers

  1. Dial *200# and follow the prompts.
  2. Send a blank SMS to 200.
