How to Check your National ID Number (NIN) on Phone in Uganda

The National Identification Number (NIN) is attached to every national identity card. This number differentiates national card users and it is mostly required during identifications/registrations. If you did not carry your national id, then I bet you could fail to fill in the NIN space. However, you can check National ID number in Uganda using your phone device for free.

Here’s how to find your National ID Number (NIN) Online in Uganda

  • Dial *216# then OK.
  • Select option 5, Check NIN.
  • Opt for option 1, My NIN or option 2, Child NIN.
  • Enter your surname, given name and date of birth.
  • Your NIN will display on your screen in a few micro seconds.
  • Choose to copy it down or save it on your phone for future purpose.

Note: This method helps you check National ID number on all telecom companies like MTN, Airtel, Africell, UTL, Lycamobile, and Smile.
