If you are looking forward to customizing your Netflix profile, then you should consider changing the appearance of your Netflix subtitles as well. Subtitles are captions displayed at the bottom of a television screen that translates or transcribes the dialogue or narrative in a movie. By default, the subtitles will appear in white using the Block font. All that can change with a single tap. Netflix lets you change the visual elements of the subtitles like the font, font size, and background color.

The Netflix Subtitle Appearance settings can only be altered via the Netflix web browser. However, for Netflix subscribers who watch Netflix on Apple products like Apple TV and iPhone, subtitle appearance can be made through the device’s accessibility settings (not the Netflix app). Also, subscribers who are from a country with one of these primary languages (Japanese, Arabic, Hebrew, Korean, Romanian, Traditional Chinese, and Thai) can’t change the subtitle appearance even if your profile is set to a different language. Here is how you can change the appearance of your Netflix subtitles.

What Font is Netflix Subtitles?

The default Font for Netflix subtitles is Block font. However, if this font doesn’t suit you, you can change it to other font types on Netflix like typewriter, Print, Console, Casual, Cursive, or Small Caps.
