After every 30 days, Showmax will automatically bill subscription fees off your credit card. However much automatic billing presents its own list of strengths, in some instances, such actions can dishearten your soul especially if money deducted is intended for a more paramount life and death cause that outweighs the need to stream Showmax content. To avoid disappointment, the first action you need to take involves canceling Automatic Billing on your Showmax account.
Unfortunately, Showmax does not provide a feature that allows subscribers to stop autorenewal or auto payments on their Showmax account. However, there is a way to go about this. All you need to do is cancel your Showmax subscription just after making a payment. Upon canceling your Showmax subscription, you will still have viewing access to Showmax content until the end of the current billing period. This article details a step-by-step guide on how you can cancel automatic billing on your Showmax account.
Step 1: Launch the preferred browser on your computer and go to the Showmax website.
Step 2: Sign in to your Showmax account. Once you have signed in with the correct details, you will be referred to the profile page.
Step 3: Select a profile from the profile page for the homepage to load. Then click on your profile name in the top right corner of the homepage.
Step 4: From the drop-down menu tap on the “My Account” option.
Step 5: Under the My Account menu, click on “Manage Subscriptions” from the left pane.
Step 6: Scroll to the bottom of the page and click “Cancel Subscription”.

Step 7: On the next page, you will be urged to confirm if you want to cancel your subscription. Click “Cancel Anyway.”
Step 8: Showmax will require you to select a reason for cancellation in order to improve services when you return back. Select any reason that refers to your subscription cancellation. Upon selecting the reason for cancellation, you will receive a confirmatory notification affirming that “Automatic Billing has been Cancelled.” Tap “Continue Watching” to go back to the home page.

What Happens When you Cancel Automatic Billing on Showmax?
Even after canceling your automatic billing on Showmax, you still continue accessing Showmax content until the end of the billing cycle, at which point your subscription will end. For instance, if your billing date is the 10th of each month and yet you have canceled your subscription before the mentioned date, you will still have access until your subscription expires.
You can always sign in to your Showmax account, although you will be unable to access Showmax content.
When you are ready, you can restart Automatic billing at any time and then make payment subsequently. To restart automatic billing on Showmax, go to the Showmax website, sign in to your Showmax account, click on your profile name in the top right corner of the homepage, then tap “my account,” click on “Manage Subscriptions” and click on “Restart Showmax Subscription.”
