    How to Buy Safaricom Data Bundles for Another Number

    Method 1: Use *100# USSD Codes

    1. Dial *100# and press the call button.
    2. Opt for option 7 which is Buy.
    3. Select option 3, Normal Data Bundle WITH EXPIRY.
    4. Key in 7 or 98 to go to the next page on the menu.
    5. Select option 10, Buy for Other Number.
    6. Enter the recipient’s number.
    7. Select data bundle plan.
    8. Confirm payment with option 1 for Airtime or option 2, M-PESA and follow the prompts.

    Method 2: Use *456# USSD Codes

    1. Dial *456# and press the call button.
    2. Select option 1, Buy.
    3. Choose option 3, Data Bundles. Alternatively you can dial *456*1*3# and follow the prompts.
    4. Enter 98 to view more items on the menu
    5. Select option 13: Buy for Other Number
    6. Enter the recipient number.
    7. You will be prompted to confirm data bundle purchase. Reply with 1 (Accept) or 2 (Decline)
    8. Select prefered payment method. You can pay via M-pesa or Safaricom airtime.

    Method 3: Use *544# USSD code

    1. Dial *544# and press the call button.
    2. Select option 3, Data Bundles.
    3. Enter 7 or 98 to view more items on the menu.
    4. Choose option 10 to Buy for Other Number.
    5. Enter the recipient’s number.
    6. Select the bundle plan that you want to buy for your friend.
    7. Reply with 1 (Accept) or 2 (Decline)
