Use USSD Shortcode from Airtel (*252#)
1. Dial *252# and press the send button.
2. Select option 6, Airtimes & Bundles.
3. Choose a number that corresponds to Airtime. As of now, that is option 1.
4. Select option 1 MTN.
5. Enter the recipient’s MTN number.
6. Key in the amount.
7. Then review and confirm transaction details including the charges.
8. Select option 1 to proceed.
9. You will be prompted to approve the transaction, enter the 4 digit Airtel Money pin.
10. You will receive a confirmatory text immediately.
How to Buy Airtime from Airtel Money via My Airtel App.
Download and install the My Airtel App on your device.
1. Launch the app.
2. Select the country as Uganda.
3. Enter the phone number registered on Airtel Money.
4. The main menu will load, click on Buy Airtime.
5. Enter the recipient’s MTN number, you can also choose from the list of contacts by clicking on the phone book menu.
6. Tap on the Next button.
7. Enter the amount you are willing to top up.
8. Key in your email address then click Next to proceed.
9. Select currency as UGX from the drop-down menu.
10. Choose to recharge via Mobile Money and continue to buy yourself airtime from airtel money.
