However, there are so many Linux distributions, and choosing the best one for you may be a little sort of problem. This is the main reason I wrote this article, to share with you some of the best Linux distros that you need to install on your computers. It doesn’t matter what kind of work you do with your computer, Linux operating systems these days come equipped with every and other basic tools.

Contents

Ubuntu

Ubuntu is one of the most common Linux distros almost known to everyone, even those who do not run Linux operating systems. In fact, everyone who thinks about starting to use Linux thinks about Ubuntu, so yes, you know what I mean by ‘commonest’ now.

The main reason Ubuntu is preferable and the same I put it number one on my list is, it is very accessible and usable to novices. Ubuntu displays an interface friendly to anyone who has ever used Windows OS.

Beyond a Graphical User Interface Design (UID) and Command (CMD) prompts, Ubuntu also is secure and stable. Did you know that exec viruses don’t attack Linux devices? Smooth operations flow, right? Linux can as well run on underpowered devices, so it’s very usable on many devices for that matter.

Linux Mint

Mint is described as another strong option for the Linux novices, especially those are switching from a non-Linux OS to Linux. With its good media support and impressive customization options, Mint makes a good option below Ubuntu. Of course, it depends on the kind of work you want to do with the different options.

It gives a range of software that you need for basic operations such as LibreOffice for office and typing works. All this comes pre-installed and you won’t have to hit open your terminal to run the apt-get install commands.

Ubuntu Server

This Linux distro specifically runs a command-line interface; you will never see these clickable icons you are used to with other Linux distros and Windows.

This type is specifically for system administrators and all of you who are chasing the same path. With the Ubuntu server, you need to have a number of basic commands since every other action is run by a command.

Once you install and load Ubuntu server, you will always face a dark theme screen, expect nothing more than that. It’s a strong tool however for programmers and developers.

Red Hat Enterprise Linux

This is the best Linux distro for businesses and organizations. Red Hat is not that common a Linux platform like the above listed, but that doesn’t mean it’s not preferable. There’s a significant group of enterprise users who rely on their work on RHEL (Red Hat Enterprise Linux)

The other form of Red Hat Enterprise Linux id Fedora; these two are related and run similar software. Red Hat Enterprise Linux tools and software are tested on Fedora.

Conclusion

There are other many Linux distros out there, but this is what we found to be the 2023 Best Linux distros. But hey, your opinion matters, so why not share with us your favorite Linux distro in the comment below?
