HBO Max is an American subscription video on demand streamline service from Warner Media Entertainment. It is a USA service by default, situated in Burbank, California. It is owned by Warner Media Direct, LLC, and was launched on May, 27th, 2020.
HBO Max is based on a Warner Media’s HBO premium TV service. This idea was first unleashed in 2018, October 10th, when Warner Media announced its new over-the-top streaming service which had to feature content from all its entertainment brands.
This article however discusses the idea of watching HBO Max Outside the US, basing on the fact earlier mentioned concerning HBO Max restrictions (Only accessed in the USA) This is a home guide to take you through the chit chat of HBO MAX.
Note:
When you try accessing HBO outside the USA, their website will fire back an annoying message saying, “HBO Max is not available in your region.” You can’t be a subscriber of HBO Max if you are not a USA audience unless you use these tricks I’ll share with you here.

How to Watch HBO Max outside USA
The mere fact HBO isn’t accessed anywhere in the world means it has a geo-restriction measure that blocks non-US users by scanning their IP addresses. Knowing this, we’re good to go. Let’s see how.
If there is a way you can hide your IP-address, and mask it with one from the US before you can sign up for HBO Max, then you are good to be mistaken for a legal USA citizen.
In Uganda, VPN (Virtual Private Network) tools are still being used, thus it’s a perfect mechanism through which you can mask your IP-address.
If you don’t have a VPN tool, go to Google play store, and search for any VPN of your choice (I recommend Psiphon pro)
- Download and install Psiphon pro
- Click on the Psiphon icon to load it,
- Got to options along the horizontal bar
- Click Best performance and a list of countries will be displayed.
- Scroll to find the USA, and click on it.
When you reload the HBO Max’s site gain, there will be access for you to sign up.
