Requirements to be a PayWay Agent:

A Limited Liability Company

  1. 2 Passport size Photos.
  2. Copy of valid National ID/Passport.
  3. Copy of Trading License.
  4. Recommendation Letter from LC1 Chairperson.
  5. Certificate of Incorporation.
  6. Form 7.
  7. Cost of the agent POS terminal, Paper Rolls and Float as directed by the PayWay sales professional.
  8. Photograph of where the business will be located.
  9. Initial start up stock of UGX 500,000.
  10. Receipt rolls worth UGX 50,000.
  11. Cost of POS machine at $450. Alternatively you can buy a bluetooth printer at $100 and get a free PayWay talk application installed on your Android phone which must be version 4.1 and above.

General Requirements for Individuals

  1. 2 Passport size photos.

How to Become a Payway Agent in Uganda

Go to https://payway.ug/become-an-agent/

Enter all the required details including Name, Email address, Contact address, Description, and Location then click on “Become an Agent”.

“Thank you for the request! Our specialist will contact you shortly” message will pop on your screen. The agent will call you after 24 hours during working days or you can go ahead and call them on 0800 203020.

After the call, the agent will schedule a meeting with the applicant to verify if they qualify to become an agent.
