What is Ayoba?

Ayoba is an African innovation; a messaging platform that has defied the odds in the communication revolution that has been birthed by the arrival of the deadly pandemic. It’s a brainchild of SIMFY AFRICA, which falls under the parent organization of the MTN Group.

MTN Uganda partnered with SIMFY AFRICA to bring the Ayoba app in Uganda. It will interest you to know that the messaging app is available in many African languages, including Luganda. Other languages are; Swahili, Hausa, Yoruba, IsiXhosa. It has been referred to as the PanAfrican messaging platform.

What to expect

Customers shall definitely have access to cheaper communication with the Ayoba app.

This app works with any network in Uganda. You do not necessarily have to be an MTN customer to use the Ayoba app. Any network is good.

This messaging app allows its users to chat using the app to SMS and vice versa. If you text someone using the app, they will receive your text even if they are not users of the Ayoba app. The good news is that MTN customers shall be able to throw in their responses to these messages even when they do not have the app.

Also, MTN customers shall have the privilege of using the Ayoba services without any data, as long as they use up to 1GB in a month.
