To configure roadrunner SMTP server settings , you should know some of the following roadrunner incoming mail server and outgoing mail server information :-
Incoming mail server (POP or IMAP) : Account type of the incoming mail server will be — IMAP
- Username : enter your roadrunner email username (username@maine.rr.com –domain varies based on location)
- Password: Your RoadRunner email password.
- Server: pop-server.maine.rr.com (this will vary based on your location check here for a list).
- Port: 110
- Security type : None
- Authentication :put the required password details .
- SSL/TLS : Yes
Outgoing mail server (SMTP) settings :
- Server port : 587 (May also be 25)
- Server: smtp-server.maine.rr.com (domain varies based on location check here for a list).
- Username: [email protected] (domain varies based on location)
- Password: Your RoadRunner email password.
- Security type: None
- Require sign-in: Check
If the above server information do not work , try using the following ones :-
- Incoming server: pop-server.rr.com
- Outgoing server : smtp-server.rr.com
How to configure roadrunner email with your Gmail account .
The steps below will help you setup roadrunner email with your Gmail account :-
After configuring your roadrunner email with Gmail , you’ll be in position to receive all your mails from roadrunner to one central place .
Step 1 : Navigate to your Gmail Account and login with your email & password .
Step 2 : Navigate to the cogwheel icon at the top right corner and select settings .
Step 3 : Click the Accounts and Import tab and then select Add an email Account .
Step 4 : Enter roadrunner email address in the window that pops up and click Next button.
Step 5 : In the next step, select the “Import emails from my other account (POP3)” option and click “Next”.
Step 6 : In the window that opens , enter your full email address as Username and roadrunner password .
Step 7 : Enter pop.roadrunner.com in the “POP Server” field.
Step 8 : After entering your mail settings , Click Add Account button. Lastly click the “No” option on the next screen and finally, click the “Finish”button.
How to configure roadrunner email with outlook account .
To setup roadrunner email with outlook account follow the procedures below :-
Step 1 : Go to your outlook account and login with your email and account password .
Step 2 : In Outlook.com, go to Settings ( the cogwheel icon at the top right corner) and click View full settings
Step 3 : Under full settings , navigate to sync email > Connected accounts and click Other email accounts .
Step 4 : In the window that pop up . enter the display name of your choice , roadrunner full email address and password .
Step 5 : In the next step , click on Manually configure account settings and press OK .
Step 6 : Enter your username and choose your connection type as POP/SMTP settings and incoming POP server as “pop-server.domain.rr.com”
Step 7 : And as the outgoing (SMTP) server mail, enter ‘smtp-server.domain.rr.com’ and then move to the next level .
By now you must have fully connected your roadrunner email account to outlook . So with connecting roadrunner email to outlook , you’ll be in position to read all your roadrunner emails from outlook account without opening roadrunner .

- Tap “Next“, then “Next” again.
- Type a name in the “Your name” field. This is the name that will be shown to people when they receive email from you.
