Airtel Uganda, one of the prominent telecommunications companies in the country has increased its data bundle prices effective 17th October 2022. The new changes will affect all Airtel data bundle packages grouped into Daily bundles, weekly bundles, monthly bundles, and Chillax bundles. The announcement was made a few months after the giant telco doubled daily internet bundles and increased the one on SUPA-combos sevenfold for the same price.
Technically, the prices of the Data bundles were not altered. However, Airtel data subscribers can now get fewer MBS for the usual prices. Simply it, the mega bites were minimized but the original price has been maintained.
For instance, subscribers would previously get 80 MBS at UGX 500. Currently, they will only get 70 MBS losing out on the 10 MBS. Also, before the changes, Airtel data customers would get 750MBs at UGX 2,000. The data package for that price has since dropped to 500MBs.

How to buy Airtel Data Bundles
Airtel customers can buy data bundles and payments via Airtime or Airtel Money. Here is how you can buy daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly data bundles.
Method 1:
- Dial *175# and press the Okay button.
- Select option 2, Data Bundles.
- Choose to buy for yourself or another number.
- Select a number that corresponds with the Daily or Weekly or Monthly or Quarterly option as preferred.
- Opt for a bundle plan.
- Select the payment method and follow the prompts.
Method 2:
- Dial *185# and press the send button.
- Select option 2, Airtime/Bundles.
- Choose option 2, Buy Data Bundles.
- Opt to buy for yourself or another number.
- Select a number that corresponds with the Daily or Weekly or Monthly or Quarterly option as preferred.
- Choose a bundle plan.
- Confirm data transaction with your Airtel Money pin.
