A beneficiary is a person to whom payment is to be made. Standard chartered bank allows you to add beneficiaries via the SC Mobile app to whom you plan to transfer money. You can add the beneficiary’s account number, account name, and other necessary required details. Here is how you can add a beneficiary to the Standard Chartered mobile banking app.
How to Add a Beneficiary to Standard Chartered Mobile Banking App
1. Download and install the SC Mobile App from Google Play Store for Androids and App Store for IOS.
2. Launch the SC Mobile App.
3. Click Login then log in to your SC Mobile app with your username and password.
4. Tap on the menu bar (three parallel lines) then choose the ‘Transfers’ icon from the list of options.
5. Click on ‘Add a New Payee’ under the ‘Transfers’ icon.
6. Select the kind of transfer intended i.e Local SCB beneficiary, other local Bank, or International beneficiary.
7. Enter all the required details including beneficiary Name, Account Number, and currency then click on the ‘continue’ button to proceed.
8. All the transaction details will be displayed on the screen. Confirm if the details are correct then Continue.
9. Key in the One-Time-Password (OTP) sent to your mobile number. All the beneficiary details will be successfully added.
10. Any time you are ready you can now go ahead and make a fund transfer at your own convenience from the list of beneficiaries.

How to Transfer Money to Beneficiary via SC Mobile App
Follow the steps below to transfer money;
1. Launch the SC Mobile app.
2. Login with your username and password.
3. Click on Transfers under the main menu bar.
4. Tap on the category the beneficiary is saved it could be your own account, local transfers, or International Transfers.
5. Select the account number you intend to send funds to from the beneficiary list.
6. Enter the amount and purpose of payment to proceed to make funds transfer.
