Does and don’t of creating stronger Computer Password

  1. Use Longer passwords

Create passwords longer than seven characters. This is so, because, it is assumed that, longer passwords are harder to break than shorter ones.

  1. Use Random Character

Let your password comprise random characters. Passwords with random characters that do not form any meaning are the strongest passwords since it makes it hard for the hacker to predict them. Let your password not be a dictionary word or a combination of those.

  1. Don’t use the same password everywhere.

Never use passwords you have used elsewhere either on Facebook, or any social media platform as your computer password. This will risk your social accounts and data once your computer goes missing, either stolen on purpose or misplaced.

  1. Use Different accounts

Make sure your computer has more than just one account. Never allow anyone to access your computer’s admin account, and let it have a different password from that used by other accounts on the same computer.

  1. Create a Memorable password.

Emphasizing a strong password doesn’t necessarily mean come up with a hard-to-remember password. A strong password can as well be as simple as possible. A hard password will complicate things for you. Unless if you create a password recovery disc on your computer, you won’t be able to access your computer again
