Upon creating a Google account, you receive 15GB of complimentary cloud storage on Google Drive, enabling you to store files such as photos, documents, recordings, music, email attachments, and more. Initially, this might appear to be a substantial amount of space, but over the course of several years, it can become exhausted.

When you reach your storage limit, Google will notify you about the space shortage and suggest upgrading from the free storage plan to a Google One membership. The Google One membership provides storage options starting from 100GB and ranging up to 30TB, with various subscription plans available to cater to your specific needs and usage patterns.

Although Google One offers affordable options, if you prefer not to upgrade to a paid plan, there are ways to free up space on your account. In this article, we’ll guide you on how to do just that, ensuring you can manage your storage effectively without the need for a paid subscription.
