Check ID Status online in Kenya Via SMS
- Open the messaging app.
- Click in the compose text section.
- Type the waiting card serial number.
- Enter recipient as 20031 and click send.
- You will receive a text from 20031 detailing your ID status.
Check ID Status Web Portal
- Launch your preferred browser.
- Visit identity.go.ke/search.
- Click on the National ID section.
- Then select Status.
- Input the 9 digits waiting card serial number then click the enter button.
Visit the DC’s Office
This method requires the individual to physically visit the DC’s office to inquire statusof the National ID application.
