How to Enable Developer Options on your Android TV

Step 1: Set up your Android TV device:

To set up Developer options you need to have an active internet connection and must sign in to your Google account. Therefore before you proceed, connect the Android TV device to the local network and sign in to your Google account.

Step 2: Open Device Settings

Press the home button on your remote for the home page to display. Navigate to the Settings app on your home screen.

Step 3: Device Preference

Under Android TV’s general settings, click on Device Preference. Then on the next page, select “About.”

Step 4: Click on Build

Scroll down to and click on Build several times (notifications will pop up showing you that you are only a few steps to stepping up developer options). Proceed with clicking on the “Build” option until a dialog appears with the message, “You are now a developer.”

Go back to the Device Preference menu, and the “Developer Options” will be listed. Now navigate back to the home screen.

Quick Note: If you want to disable Developer options on your Android TV, you will have to reset the device to factory settings.
