To deactivate your Threads account, follow the steps outlined below.
Exploring a fresh social media platform often appears enticing, primarily due to its typically free nature. Yet, as time goes on, it becomes apparent that utilizing such platforms comes with a price, whether it be in terms of time or privacy. If you’ve reached a point where you’ve grown tired of Threads, a solution is available to you.
1. Launch the Threads application on your device and locate your profile picture positioned in the lower-right section.
2. Next, tap the menu symbol (consisting of two dashes) situated in the upper-right corner, granting you access to the settings menu.
3. From there, choose the “Account” option.

4. Proceed by selecting “Deactivate profile” and affirm your decision to deactivate your account by tapping on “Deactivate Threads profile.” Following this process, you will be successfully logged out of the application and directed to the login screen.
By deactivating your Threads account, you are temporarily disabling and concealing your profile, threads, replies, likes, and followers from other users. It is important to note that your account will not be deleted but can be reactivated at any time by logging in with your username and password.
Please be aware that if you prefer to permanently delete your Threads account, the only current option is to delete your Instagram account as well.
